Where to stay in Koh Samui: Tango Beach Resort Review

Where to stay in Koh Samui? We stayed at Tango Beach Resort (3 stars) for three nights. The resort is conveniently situated at the north end of Chaweng beach. Chaweng beach is well-known for being one of the popular beaches in Koh Samui. It is a favorite destination for sun-seekers and night owls alike.

Tango Beach Resort Koh Samui

Tango Beach Resort provides a private place in the sun. It is located only 10 minutes’ drive from the Samui airport and just a short walking distance from the Chaweng City Center, an entertainment district in Koh Samui lined with nightclubs, restaurants, massage centers and shops. Choose to stay around Chaweng beach if you love a more peaceful stay. The location is very good as you will find everything you need within minutes. There are a seven eleven and a family mart just opposite the resort. The resort is also perfect for people traveling with children. We had booked the Family Suite for three nights through Agoda (USD 364.29 including service charges 10% and hotel tax 7%). It was about USD 120 per night for a 54 square meters family suite with 2 bedrooms and a living room. The room is well equipped for all your needs. The bathroom is spacious designed with beautiful hot tub and separate shower area. Breakfast is not included.

Tango Beach Resort Koh Samui Review

The Tango Beach Resort was old but not ran down. The room was clean and comfortable, with nice lighting and had everything we needed. The Wi-Fi worked well but only available in the resort area, not at the beach. The staffs were friendly and efficient. The room had no telephone but it was not far from the lobby. However, the air conditioner was not functioning well. It was a little bit noisy and leaking upon our arrival. The towel provided was not as clean as I would have expected. There were some stains on the towel. There were also a few worms, both dead and alive in the room and the pillow smelled. The cleanliness of the swimming has to be improved too. The water was very salty and murky. Overall, it was quite a decent hotel and a good value for the money we paid through Agoda. We had a great time staying there.
