The best offer option or make offer option allows you to make an offer to buy an item at the price you suggest, which gives you a chance to negotiate the price with the seller and buy the item at a lower price than the normal selling price. The seller can accept your offer, decline your offer, or make a counteroffer.

How to make offer on eBay

You can only make an offer if you see the Make Offer button below the Buy It Now price in the listing. It means the seller accepts best offers from you. If the Make Offer button does not appear in the listing, it means the seller is not interested in receiving offers and you should not try to contact this seller to negotiate price or terms. Doing so violates the eBay policy.

How I make an offer on eBay

Few days ago, I was thinking to buy the “3-1 Diamond Microdermabrasion Dermabrasion Vacuum Spray” machine, which costs AU $97 (approximately RM 285). However I have insufficient money in my PayPal account. I used the make offer option to offer a price lower than the selling price. I entered AU $90 and submitted my offer. After waiting a day, the seller declined my offer. It was so heartbreaking and the seller did not make a counteroffer. I tried to make another offer which was AU $93. However, I did not want to buy it anymore. I retracted my offer before the seller accepted it. If the seller accepts your offer, you cannot retract your offer anymore.

Instead of buying Diamond Microdermabrasion, I made another offer to buy “Hot and Cool Facial Steamer” at US $62, which originally costs US $65.99. The seller accepted it. I am so happy. I paid just now with my PayPal. I will write an article about how to buy from eBay soon.
