After You Dessert
There are many dessert café in Silom Complex (2nd floor) including After You Dessert Café, Parferio by Sfree and ETE Ice Cream. After You Dessert Café is a hot spot for all sweet-toothed Bangkokians. The original cafe is located in Thong Lor, about 100 metres along Soi 13. There were too many people queuing for After You, so sister and I went ETE Ice Cream, just next to it.
ETE Ice Cream
My sister likes ETE Ice Cream but I don’t really like it. We ordered a ‘Mango Republic’ (75 Baht) and the other one I couldn’t remember. The Mango Ice Cream doesn’t taste as good as ‘Mango Tango’ Mango Ice Cream. I complained about it and my sister was angry. She asked me whether I knew how many people out there wished to eat that but just weren’t be able to pay for it? I’m sorry. I know I’m very wrong now. ‘Appreciate’ is the word I have to learn.
Parferio by Sfree
Saw Parferio by Sfree when we were going back. They have over 150 Ice Cream and dessert selections. From Japanese-style Ice Cream Sundae to Japanese shaved ice to smoothies and yogurt etc.
What else around Silom Complex
– Patpong Night Market
– Lumphini Park
I have new friends! P’Ae and P’Pe Le, yeah! One of them can speak a little bit of English; another one can speak a little bit of Mandarin. We have been seeing each other every day for more than a month. I finally screwed up my courage and asked for their names, and we talked. I’m not a social butterfly. It’s really hard for me to talk to strangers. They taught me a lot of Thai words, though I couldn’t remember all, but I was really happy. P’Pe Le asked me when would I return to Malaysia, I told him 18 May. The date was fixed because I bought the plane tickets. And then he asked me, would I come back? I said, I didn’t know. That moment I was sad because I felt I would never see them again in my life time if I didn’t come back to Thailand, which was most probably the case. There are so much more in life I want to do, so many places I want to go. I couldn’t stay. What I could do is to appreciate the days I left with them. I will keep those precious moments in my heart and I will definitely miss them.
