It has been my third day here in Singapore and I feel really very bored. Nothing interests me and everything is so expensive. I have been to three places today: The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and Ferris Wheel Singapore Flyer as these three attractions are quite near to each other. Marina Bay Sands Casino is attached to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and Marina Bay Sands hotel is just opposite The Shoppes and the Casino. Gardens by the Bay is located behind the Marina Bay Sands hotel and Ferris wheel Singapore Flyer is around that area too. If you are going there by train, take the MRT Circle Line and get off at Bayfront Station (CE1). The station is linked to the shopping mall.
The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands
The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands is one of the most exciting shopping malls in Singapore. You can take a Sampan (a beautifully-crafted Chinese wooden boat) ride along the canal at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and make your wish when you circle the Rain Oculus. The Sampan ride ticket price is $10 per person, kids and adults. Operating hours: 11.30 am to 8.30 pm daily. Last ride is at 8.15 pm.
We had tea at Din Tai Fung restaurant. We ordered a few types of Chinese steamed buns and dumplings. If you like Chinese food, do not miss Din Tai Fung! My Australian uncle loved “xiao long bao” (Chinese soup dumplings). After tea, we went to Gardens by the Bay. I will talk about it in the next entry. I am too tired to continue. Good Night.
