Winter melon a.k.a. white gourd/winter gourd has a reputation as an excellent detoxifier and we all know that detoxification is a good start to lose weight. Steamed winter melon fresh mushroom was what I had for my lunch on day 4 following my weight loss diet plan. High in taste and low in calories!
How to prepare Steamed Winter Melon Fresh Mushroom
Ingredients:
250g winter melon
150g napa cabbage
100g pork loin cutlet
1 big fresh mushroom approx. 100g
Method:
Remove the rind and cut the winter melon into 1 inch x 2 inch pieces. Cut the mushroom into small pieces. Slice pork loin cutlet into small slices. Arrange everything on a heatproof plate. Sprinkle some salt on it. Steam it in a preheated steamer until the winter melon becomes transparent.
