Radishes fill your stomach and satisfy your hunger easily without giving you many calories, as they are low in digestible carbohydrates, high in roughage and contain a lot of water. Black fungus or black wood-ear fungus contains rich dietary fibres and special pectin which can promote motility of stomach and intestine, excreting fat in the intestine, reducing fat intake, and so preventing obesity and help to lose weight. It’s a very healthy obesity diet food.

Stir-Fried White Radish with Black Fungus

Ingredients:

100g white radish
100g carrot
100g cucumber
50g black fungus
10g garlic

Method:

1. Soak black fungus for about 10 minutes and pinch off all hard bits. Drain and slice finely.
2. Cut radish, carrot and cucumber into strips.
3. Heat oil in a pan, lower the fire and fry the garlic until fragrant.
4. Add black fungus and radish, stir-fry 5 minutes.
5. Add carrot and cucumber and continue to stir-fry until all the ingredients are cooked.
6. Add salt or soy sauce to taste, stir to mix well.
7. Dish out onto a plate and serve.
