Driscoll’s Strawberries

There are few types of strawberries on the market; from Indonesia, Korea and Cameron Highlands Malaysia. I used to eat Korea’s strawberries, but now I choose Driscoll’s strawberries (product of USA – only the finest berries). Why? Because among all of these, Driscoll’s strawberries taste the best! First of all, let’s talk about Korea’s strawberries. They are quite small as compare to Driscoll’s brand and a little bit sour, selling at RM 15.90 for 250 gram. However, if you like to eat sour strawberries, then you should go for this. Cameron Highlands’s strawberries selling at RM 4 for 250 gram, sizes are even smaller (really very small) than the Korea’s strawberries. Seriously, I would not go for this because Malaysia weather cannot grow strawberries, why must we fight against the nature?

Driscoll's Strawberries

Talk about Driscoll’s strawberries, they are big, sweet, juicy and yummy! They are the best to make “strawberry yogurt smoothie” (check out my “Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie Recipe“). I have lots of recipes for strawberry, come to visit this blog more often. Here are some tips you need to know before you buy strawberries. Driscoll’s strawberries are selling at RM23.90 for 500 gram. Most people think that red ripe strawberries are better but actually it is not the case, unless you want to eat them all on the day you bought. You need to check thoroughly on the spot to see whether there are fungi inside. Fungi like ripe strawberries! Just open the lid and check. For me, I love to choose half-ripe strawberries (with a little bit of white surfaces). I would like to keep the strawberries in refrigerator for three to five days; for my daily routine. The strawberries will turn red naturally in your refrigerator. Believe me or not? You will love Driscoll’s strawberries just like I do. And, you will never buy other brand of strawberries anymore!
