Soy Milk Maker - Empress Soya Milk Maker Instructions

Important notes:

When using Empress Soya Milk Maker, basic safety precaution must always be followed.

1. Read all instructions carefully.
2. This soy milk maker is for household use only.
3. Unplug when not in use.
4. Close supervision is necessary when it is in used. Keep it away from children.
5. To protect against risk of electric shock, fire or personal injury, do not immerse plug, cord or main unit in water or other liquids.
6. Do not operate it when the power cord or plug in damaged. If it malfunctions, dropped or damaged in any manner, sent it to an authorized service centre.
7. Do not let power cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
8. Only connect the soy milk maker to an earthed wall socket.
9. Do not immerse the main body in water or any other liquid.
10. The blade is sharp, handle with care. Avoid touching the shard cutting edges of the blade when cleaning.
11. Empress Soya Milk Maker is equipped with “Auto-safe boil dry protection”. When the water dried up, there will be a buzzer sound and the cooker will stop function. Please try to avoid the situation to prolong the cooker durability.

How to use:

1. Place the flow conduit into the main body.
2. Install the filter into the jug.
3. Use the provided measuring cup to add in 1 cup of soaked beans approximately 100g or less than half cup of dry beans approximately 40g into filter.
– To avoid overflow/spill from the cooking pot, please follow the quantity recommended.
– Excessive or insufficient amount of beans will both affect pulp unfavorably.
– To soak beans, cover beans with 2-3 inches of water and soak for 8-10 hours or overnight. After soaking, wash the soaked beans before cooking.
4. Fill jug with water up to the maximum level of 800 ml and not less than minimum level of 600 ml.
5. Close the jug cover to clockwise. Make sure it is firmly locked in position.
6. Place the jug onto the driving shaft until it is fitted firmly into place.
7. Cover with the top cover.
8. Fix the top fixer at the two sides of the fasteners. Make sure the two side fasteners are firmly locked.
9. Place the cooking pot with pot cover onto the heating plate and push it in until the two arrows at the side are aligned with each other.
10. Turn the control knob to “Lock” position.
11. Select the desired function (soaked bean/dry bean) by pressing “Select” button.
12. Press “On/Off” button to start operation. “On/Off” button should be pressed within 10 seconds after the function has been selected. Otherwise the selected function lights will turn off.
13. The cooking process takes about 25-30 minutes and ends with “beep” sound.
14. Reheat soy milk by pressing “Select” button to “Heating” function. The process will take about 20-25 minutes.

How to clean:

1. Unplug the soy milk maker.
2. Wait until the heating plate to cool down, detach all the removable parts.
3. Clean the removable parts with a soft sponge with some mild detergent.
4. Wash the filter with the cleaning brush provided.
5. To keep the sensor probe and spill prevention probe clean, wipe with a damp cloth.
6. Wipe the main body with a damp cloth.

Trouble Shooting

Problem Cause Solution

Terms and Conditions of Warranty

1. This product of warranted against defective materials and manufacturing faults for 1 year (12 months) from the date of original purchase.
2. This warranty is void:
a) If product is damage by accident, mishandling, fire, lightning, natural disasters, abnormal voltage or the use of generator and failure of follow enclosed instructions.
b) If repaired by any unauthorized personnel/technician.
c) If any part(s) there in is altered, adjusted, dismantled, modified or tampered in any way whatsoever by any unauthorized personnel.
d) If without Stockist’s signature and stamp, and other full particulars not clearly shown or alterations made against the actual information, e.g. name, membership number, invoice number and invoice date.
e) If original Warranty Card and invoice does not accompany product.
3. All freight and any forwarding expenses incurred are to be borne by member/customer and are not covered by warranty.
4. This warranty DOES NOT cover any parts subjected to wear and tear or the breakage of the plastic, like top fixer, top cover, jug cover, filter, jug, flow conduit, pot cover, cooking pot, cleaning brush, measuring cup and other accessory items.
5. In no event shall Cosway (M) Sdn Bhd or their appointed Stockists be liable for special or consequential damages or for any delay in the performance of this warranty due to causes beyond their control.
6. Other than explicitly stated hereon, this warranty DOES NOT commit the company to other forms of liabilities.

If you do not like Empress Soya Milk Maker, look for multifunction No-filter Technology Joyoung Soy Milk Maker or Joylife soy milk maker, these two are quite famous in the market but they are a bit pricey for me, about RM 300 to RM 500.
